OKPIK 2013 | |
| OKPIK is one of the Scouting High Adventure trips. This year, we had 2 crews up there. One crew was a regular trek out on the ice. The other crew was
a "Musher Camp". They spent the weekend with the sled dogs. Both had a great time. They built a beautiful new mess hall. The first night, after check-in, you have a training class so you can be safe out in the cold. | |

The day before we arrived they had about a foot of new snow. Heading out to the lake they will camp on. It is really beautiful out there. |

It was going to be very cold this weekend. Quinzees are very warm, so the first thing to do, was pile up snow for a quinzee. |
